A new man in my life...

....and he goes by the name of...
Nixon Tyler Farnsworth
Born: May 1, 2010
Weight: 8lbs 15.4 (aka 9lbs!)
Height: 22"

Words can not even begin to explain the love we instantly had for this sweet boy! What a blessing and sweet spirit he brings into our lives!

So it all began Saturday morning at about 12:30am. The contractions began and became closer and closer together. I was in denial for a little bit that it was actually happening, but about two hours later I finally woke Tyler up and we decided to go to the hospital. When I got there I was on the border line of being admitted or sent home, so they had me walk around the hospital for about an hour which was one of the worst and longest hours of my life. I had progressed slightly, and after my water broke from throwing up from the painful contractions they finally admitted me about 4 hours later. The nurse tried talking me out of getting my epidural so soon because I was only dialated to about a 4 1/2 because they were worried it would slow me down, but I didn't care. I wanted it and I wanted it now! Tyler wanted me to have it too! I do have to give myself a pat on the back because I was a very nice woman in labor through my contractions. I just didn't talk at ALL and Tyler was sick of the silence for the last 5 hours. As soon as I had that needle pricked in my back life was wonderful! The doctor said it could be atleast another 5 hours before I was ready to push so that it would be a good idea for us to get some rest. I got myself a little nap and woke up to the doctor two hours later saying, "it's time to push!" So much for that epidural slowing things down. We couldn't believe how fast he was coming. We quickly called our family and told them it was time and about 30 minutes later we had our sweet boy, Nixon, in our arms.

Ready to go home!

Welcome home baby boy! Nixon has been such a good baby so far. Tyler has two weeks off work and I am so glad he does as I continue to recover. We feel so blessed and love this little boy to pieces. Tyler is so cute with him and just eats up everything he does.
