About two weeks ago now, Tyler, Nixon and I flew over to San Francisco. Tyler got this awesome gig with our brother-in-law's company to do some filming around the city. This was my first time in the city and Nixon's first time flying. The whole flying with a child part made me a little nervous because I was so worried he would scream the whole way. He actually was awesome and slept almost the whole way...and the flight wasn't full so they let us bring on his carseat...double bonus!
Our first day there we pretty much did anything and everything there was to do in the city. We walked and walked for miles all day long and saw so many awesome new things. I was so blown away at how crazy hilly the streets were and it was quite the bum burner walking up and down them.
Nixon was a trooper and enjoyed his leisurely time in the stroller.
Seriously! Pushing a stoller up these hills was a workout. Our hotel was right at the top. I am still blown away at the steepness of them.
We went and saw all the major touristy spots...obviously since Tyler had to film them. Above is the most crooked street.
We also went to Alcatraz. What a creepy feeling to walk around an old prison and hear stories from old prisoners.
We also devoured ourselves in some AH-mazing food there.
The boys in their bibs
We went to this restaurant called The Stinking Rose. Their punch line: We season our garlic with food. Anyone that knows Tyler and I knows that we LOVE garlic, needless to say we could NOT pass up an experience to go to this restaurant.
Nixon all tuckered out at the restaurant after a long day of walking...or strolling in his case.
