I know some day we will look back on this moment and laugh, and for that reason I am documenting it. I will warn you now it is a LONG story. As previously mentioned, Tyler experienced a very low moment in his life dealing with these two men below...

Let me take you back to a few hours before we were supposed to leave for our much anticipated vacation to Colorado. Tyler was working that day and we were all ready to go as soon as he got home. He called me a little later than planned after he got off work to inform me the battery in the Camry (the car we were planning on driving) had died. Okay, no big deal, someone miraculously showed up and all was well. He then got home and said he had more bad news. His family had left earlier in the morning and they had called to say they had been hit by a drunk driver. Great. Some Indian was just chilling on the side of the highway, pulled out before even looking and totally jacked up their Denali. So we sat around for about an hour waiting to hear back from them on if their car was even drive-able and if they wanted to continue on with the vacation. I told Tyler even if they were to cancel we were going somewhere, anywhere! Luckily they were able to drive their car the rest of the way, but asked if we would drive his dads truck since it held more people than our car if something were to happen again with theirs so we could pick them up. So we load up the truck and off we go! We planned to drive through the night anyways because I knew Nixon would sleep most the way and it would be much more peaceful. We were about 20 minutes outside of Payson when Nixon fell asleep. As I am turned around sticking a blanket under Nixon's head, Tyler says "Shoot, I'm getting a ticket", and I see an officer literally standing in the middle of the highway flagging us over. We stop, two officers walk up to the truck and tell Tyler to turn it off, ask him a few questions like, "have you ever been to jail?" and "Is that your kid?", and then tell him to get out. One officer, also known as the big jerk (nicest word I could think of), walks Tyler to his car, they exchange a few words, and then he shoo's him to the other side. The other decent officer was explaining a few things to me like how fast he was driving and asked me a few questions about our relationship, where we were going, and info about Nixon. Next thing I see is the one officer leaning Tyler up against the hood of his car and putting cuffs on him. WHAT!? Tears instantly starting flowing. The officer walks him to the back door, he starts patting him down, asks him if he has anything in his packets that could hurt him, Tyler is thinking "are you kidding me?", we are looking at eachother thinking WHAT THE? At this point I am really hoping the officer is just trying to teach him a lesson. Tyler goes in the back seat and I can tell the decent officer looks a little surprised he cuffed him. Jerk bag comes back and tells me "He's just not getting it." Bull. Tyler is always so respectful and understanding. I become a blubbering mess and he continues to tell me he is taking Tyler to jail, he can be bailed out or he will stay the night and see the judge in the morning, I needed to decide what to do, can't talk with Tyler, asks if I'm okay to drive... Drive where? At this point I'm a confused mess. They explain where I should go and they would get me the bail info and that I'd need to go get a money order and return with it and then he would be free to go. So now we are to the point in the picture above. Tyler is just chilling in the back of the cop car while they are conversing. Tears are pouring down but I know I need a picture to document this horrible moment in our life. Both cops leave with my husband in tow and I follow them for about 20 minutes to jail. I didn't know what to do or who to call, so I call my dad. I didn't want to bother Tyler's and worry them even more seeing as how they were just in a horrible crash and this was the last thing they needed was more worry. My dad was very helpful in calming me down and helping me out, but deep down I know he was holding back the chuckles thinking "they are so perfect for each other. One criminal for another!"(I got a criminal tickets a few years back, and, well that's another long story in and of it itself. Meanwhile, jerk bag is saying all sorts of HORRIBLE things to Tyler on the drive while he just sits there in silence. I follow the officers where I see them take Tyler out and walk him inside. He then comes back, gives me the bail info, and I head to Walmart to get a money order. When I get back to the jail, I never thought the words, "I'm here to bail my husband out" would come out of my mouth. It felt like the longest moment of my LIFE waiting for him to get out, and we he does we immediatley take off...with me driving. He tells me about his horrible experience, the creepy guys in the cells yelling at him, saying his Prison Break instincts were coming in hand, and that he DID NOT want to drive. Colorado was about a 9 hour drive and we made it about an hour before being delayed another few hours. So I ended up driving straight through the rest of the way and we safely made it about 5:00 in the morning.
Our day today began in this place where this exciting adventure is still ongoing.
I'm sure everything is going to end up just fine. After all was said and done that day, I am such a firm believer that we were not supposed to be to Colorado till we got there. For whatever reason I seriously believe the Lord was delaying with the dead battery, car crash, and arrest and that something much worse would of happened had we really left when we were supposed to.
