Month 14 and 15

Nixon is now 15 months! Yikes this boys is getting big! He weighs about 22lbs, but has his check up next week and I'll be able to find out exactly how much he weighs and his height. I failed at posting last month so I figured I'd combine the two together.
Church is for sure difficult with a 15 month old. We have learned the hard way that the best spot to sit is in a pew, typically by another young child so they can entertain each other and swap toys. Previously we would sit in the back, which led to him wandering ALL over the place, totally behaving, but totally distracting I'm sure. That was not a habit I wanted to let him start. So we switched it up and the new routine seems to be working. Only three more months till nursery!
EVERYTHING that I have he MUST have a taste of. He knows what we have usually tastes better than what he has.
He got his 16th tooth, the last of his set of his 1st year molars. So he now has all his teeth...for now.
He has the funniest faces. He knows when he is being a ham and even laughs at himself. He also has a new fake laugh. Whenever adults around him are laughing, it sounds like he is trying to copy them by sounding like an old man's laugh so he can join in on the fun.
The last two months he has learned several animal sounds. For the longest time every animal made a monkey noise "AHH AHH", but now he has learned they all don't make that noise. A few he does are a tiger, monkey, elephant, dog, cow and fish face.
He LOVES his books and will bring me book after book to read to him while he turns the pages.
With it being so stinkin' hot we are working on finding entertaining activities to do inside.
Playing with shaving cream:and Coloring with crayons:
There are six boys in Tyler's family, so needless to say the amount of legos this family has acquired over the years is outrageous. Tyler was so excited to buy Nixon his first set of legos and to play with him. I wasn't sure who was enjoying them more!

Nixon also loves his bellybutton and thinks that everyone wants to see it...so he shows them. This was his first body part he learned about. He now can point to his ears, nose, eyes, bellybutton and stick out his tongue when asked.
We finally have his eczema under control as well. That was a beast. His skin is splotchy in certain spots from getting sun in the areas where the eczema didn't tan. A combination of the following is what has helped: He takes a fish oil pill everyday, doesn't eat any dairy, uses an all natural shampoo, and switched his laundry detergent.
A few words he says are : "diddy"-daddy, "hawt"-hot, "noooo"-no, "daw"-dog, "sigh"-outside, "Uh-oh", "Wooow", "duh"-done, "ti doo"-thank you "dee"...for everything else.
And his latest trick that I'm not too fond about: Opening the doors.
