18 months in Instagrams

Oh how I love Instagram. My apologies now as Nixon's 18 month update consists of mostly intagram pictures.
Gosh, I can't believe this kid is 18 months old. This month has been an interesting one with this kid. He seriously has such a fun personality, but can also be a turd! He is going through this whole screaming thing. Not crying, but just screaming at the top of his lungs...randomly, when he wants something, if he is mad...you name it. I think it is because of the whole lack of language. Don't get me wrong, he says words...tons in fact. I also think his two year molars are starting to inflame as he has been randomly waking up crying at night(but falls right back to sleep on his own, thank goodness) and always has his finger shoved way back in his mouth.
Some new words are: pum pum(pumpkin), nigh nigh, lu you(love you), bayoon (balloon), carca(cracker).
18 months in review. This kid sure has grown since he was a baby.

Nixon loves to squeeze around my neck and press his face up against mine. Sweetest little thing.
Nixon loves our morning runs...anytime we are "outsigh" is heaven for him! He is usually passed out by the time we get back.
He likes to pick the marshmallows out of his lucky charms first.
He started folding his arms and bowing his head for the prayer. Cutest thing ever, but usually doesn't last the whole time. Whenever I say "Time for prayers, Nixon", he runs over to the couch and starts pounding on it to get us to kneel down.
Had his first ice cream cone and thoroughly enjoyed the messy goodness.
Very rarely does he fall asleep in my arms, but I sure love when on occasion he does. I also love that he sleeps so well. 12 hrs straight at night still with a 2-3 hr nap. Put him in his crib with his blanket and he is out in a second.
Since it is finally cool at nights we get to bust out the footy pajamas! I just love him in these!
He is officially in Nursery! Wahoo! I started having him go a couple weeks ago and gradually let him stay longer and longer. Now he realizes that when we go to the nursery room mommy and daddy don't stay so he clings onto us for dear life. I've realized it is best just to drop him and run. It's so sad to hear him cry, but he calms down in less than a minute and is totally fine the whole time. I love picking him up and seeing him get so excited as he sees me and runs into my arms.
Love at first lick. Licking the frosting off.
He is also clearly still sucking his thumb and I honestly love it. He's a boy and I'm sure he won't suck his thumb till he is 7...because it is so not cool, so I will let him do it for as long as he likes...or until he is 3, maybe. He found his bumbo chair the other day and his skinny legs still fit into it. He thought it was pretty cool to have a chair just for him...guess I should pull it out more often!
