Holly Jolly Christmas

It really is the most wonderful time of the year! It is safe to say we had a very successful Christmas this year! It is always such a busy time trying to squeeze in every fun piece activity and tradition with family and friends. We did it though and Nixon has really enjoyed every step of the way. This year was so much fun with Nixon. He has loved having Christmas decorations up in the house, especially the tree (he would wake up asking for the tree so he could turn on the lights) and Santa, which he perfected saying every time he passed followed with a "ho ho ho". The decorations have come down today though which makes me sad. It makes the house feel so different.
Nixon loved playing with Grandma and Grandpa's train every time we went over.

It's not Christmas time without some good 'ol baking! Let's just say I easily made about 7 dozen cinnamon rolls one week to give out to Tyler's employees and neighbors/friends! I LOVE cinnamon rolls. So in case you are wondering, yes, I gained 20 pounds this season!

We made it to the temple lights with some friends of ours after hitting up some good 'ol Pete's Fish and Chips!

Seeing as how Nixon learned about Santa and loved him I was really excited to take him to see Santa this year. Our ward had a Christmas party with someone dressed up as Santa...let's just say we were less than successful to even attempt to snap a picture. I couldn't bare to let him sit there terrified on his lap.
Christmas Eve we headed over to the Farnsworth's for some more play time.
Nixon had fun running around, chasing after the chickens and throwing sand at them...until he realized they would chase him back.

And the older boys had fun playing Shaganator.

Later that night we headed over to Gigi's for our feast.

The kids always dress up for the nativity scene. Nixon lasted about .2 seconds in his costume. FAIL.
And Carter was very enthused to be playing Joseph.
We played Mr. and Mrs. Right
Shared Talents and sang songs
Courtney and Tyler had a nerf gun war.
And then we headed back to The Farnsworth's to have our slumber party. Nixon opened his Christmas jammies...pretty sure he liked his toy story wrapping paper MUCH more than the jammies!

Christmas morning waiting for the kids to wake up!

Nixon got a toy story quad which he loves. He was so excited to see "BUZZZZ" on the front. We are still working on the whole steering thing though.
Yes, it's an obsession we are feeding.
Tyler spoiled me as always! Excited for my Wicked tickets!! Along with all my other goodies! He knows how to make a girl happy!

Excited for his new pingpong table from muah!
And new pacman arcade game from Terryl. The start of his new game room! Every boys dream!
After gifts we got ready to head to church with my sister and open up more gifts with my family.
I'm sad to see the holiday come and go so quickly, but we enjoyed every second of it!

Merry Christmas!
