The Windy City

Last week Tyler had to go to Chicago for a work meeting and I decided to hitch along for the ride. Neither of us had been to Chicago and we thought it would be fun to stay a few days extra once he was done with his meetings. Since he had some meetings all day, I didn't fly out till later in the evening. I was a little nervous to go because this trip was my first experience flying alone and taking a taxi ride. Needless to say, I arrived safely. It was so much fun going to Chicago this time of year because it really put us in the Christmas spirit. It is so pretty there with all the Christmas decorations and lights.
I learned why Chicago is known as the windy city. It is freaking windy there. And cold! The high one day was 32 degrees. This Arizona girl was not prepared for that kind of weather so I had to borrow lots of winter clothes from some friends.
We went to one building where an elevator took you straight to the 96th floor in like 40 seconds. It was pretty insane and the view was amazing.
Snowing! We received some snow the first day we arrived. It was so exciting, and just enough to make it fun and not miserably cold.
So this is our reflection in "The Bean": The largest most random structure I have even seen in the middle of a city.
And this is "The Bean". Crazy right? We thought so too!
Tyler also surprised me by taking me to see the play, The Christmas Carol. We had a cozy little box seat and enjoyed every minute of it.
