Christmas with my family is always a good time. It is so fun, yet sad at the same time to see everyone's family's grow and move away because it makes it hard to all get together. This year we did Christmas a few day before Christmas day with my sisters since my brothers live in Kentucky. We somehow began the tradition off always eating Pei Wei which is always delish!
What's Christmas without a gingerbread house?! The men working hard on the structure.
We had a competition, and lets just say I won with flying colors. The Caldwell's decorated one side, and I decorated the other. Tyler didn't want to support my side. Mine was a beautifully colored rainbow which followed ROYGBIV....the Caldwell's said "HO HO". REALLY GUYS? C'mon now, its "HO HO HO".
Afterwards we sat around the fire and reminisced about previous Christmas memories for hours while the boys roasted some mallows. Okay, not really, it started raining literally two minutes after we got the fire going, but look how nice it could have been.
Nixon was very excited to open his gift from Grandma and Grandpa because his was the biggest! Drum roll please...a bike carriage!
This is my excited face. I got a cruiser! And we can't forget about the obnoxious horn to go along with it. Nixon and I can now spend countless days strolling around on the bike together.

The mastermind behind it all! Love her.
Every Christmas Eve the whole Nielson gang (like 50 people) gets together at my Great Grandma's house for food, gifting games, nativity acting and skit competitions. This years was a little off and almost everyone was away for Christmas so it was a very chill, intimate gathering with my grandparents. We had a great time watching some old Christmas videos and making fun of those family members that weren't there!

Grandma thought it would be fun to turn Nixon into the Grinch with his peas.
Oh how we love to hear grandma pound away on those keys!
Of course, Aunt Courtney trying to sneak Nixon some whip cream. I know exactly what he is thinking, "Woah, that looks AH-mazing".
