Tyler is a busy man. Working full time and going to school full time...we see him very little. But I know it will all be worth it come December. So last week was Tyler's Spring Break! A full week without school! PARTY! We wanted to have some fun and just spend time together as a family.
We started it off with an amazingly awesome wedding. Super good friends of our got hitched and we couldn't be more happy for them!
Mr. and Mrs. Bowyer!

Knowing Lauren it was nothing short of an amazingly beautiful wedding either!
Even though Tyler had school off he still had to work a couple days out of the week. Boo. And even though it wasn't spring break for me since I am not going to school, I still wanted to have fun everyday too! So Monday we stole Tyler away from work to go on a lunch and ikea shopping date. I'll be honest, I was too intimidated to go shopping in that store alone.
Tuesday me, my sister and SIL took all the kids to jump street to play for a few hours. Always a hit.
And then Tyler took Thursday and Friday off and that is when the real fun began! We didn't have time to head out of town anywhere but we still wanted that vacation feel. We headed up to the Zoo on Thursday and spent all morning letting Nixon run around and see whatever he wanted to see. He was in heaven...and worn out by the end of the trip. This was his second time at the zoo and we ended up getting year passes. Weekly trips to the zoo here we come!

And what little boy doesn't LOVE to be able to drive a tractor?!

Creepy monkey about to pounce on us!
Lunch break
First carousel ride. He was a smidge nervous if you can't tell.
And knocked out just in time for us Tyler and I to have lunch after the zoo
After the zoo we headed to Indulge Burger. Wow did I indulge myself in that burger. Super delicious place where you build your burger exactly the way you want it.
To continue with the "vacation feel", after the zoo we went and check in at the Arizona Grande Resort for the night. We spent the rest of Thursday and all day Friday swimming and lounging at their awesome water park. Lazy river, slides and a wave pool...Nixon seriously loved every second of it.
Knocked out again.
It seriously felt like we were away on vacation in California....zoo, eating out for every meal, water park and resort...and the best part was we only had a ten minute drive home!
