Levi Turned ONE!

The fastest year of my life just went by. Has it really been a year since I looked like this....
And Levi came into the world looking like this...
 ...completely perfect.
Indeed it has been. What a whirlwind of a year it has been with this sweet boy. Do you remember Nixon's extravagant birthday and how I started planning it when he was like 8 months old? That didn't happen with Levi. No, not even close. I'm pretty sure he still had just as much fun as Nixon did on his though. He woke up to a balloon filled crib and popped them one by one with his little razor blade teeth.
I made my signature gigantic cupcake cake filled with strawberries per request of Levi. Those are his favorite. We enjoyed this cupcake after a little quaint dinner at Yao's (doesn't every one year old love Chineese?) with a few family members. Levi also practically picked out his own present. You know those toys they always have at Dr.s offices where you move the balls around the line, well he got one of those, but way cooler, because he always pulled it off the shelf to play with during our sometimes weekly trips to Target.
 At age one, Levi...
weighs: 20 lbs 8 oz
Height: 29 1/4"
Head circ.: 18 3/4"
Levi is kind of a picky eater. He was a late bloomer when it came to getting teeth, so I think he is just getting used to eating different textures instead of baby food 100% of the time. One of the few foods he does love is watermelon. Cut him off a slice and he'll even try to eat the rind.
This would be his favorite place to hang out and pull all my decorations off from. Just a few more inches before my Anthro vase needs a safer place to sit.
He also has no fear of the chickens. Anytime we are outside he usually tries to spot them, point me to go in the direction of them and then proceed to chase after them.
He is seriously a ham. He's at the point where he knows when he is making us laugh with one of his silly sounds or faces and repeats it over and over and laugh and laugh with us.
I think he is pretty close to spouting off his first few words. I guess you could say he says mama, dada, and baba, but those are sometimes debatable as he's not always walking around the house shouting for his mom.
He's walking all over the place. He started shortly after he turned 10 months and was full on walking well before his first birthday.
He points at everything and expects you to go where he is pointing.
He loves to play with play kitchen food. I can often find his with a spatula and pot, stirring something delicious up, I'm sure.
He's in the stages of going from 2 down to 1 nap and sleeps a good 12 hours straight at night.
We have yet to give him a real haircut and love to let those luscious blond locks of his flow.
He has 6 teeth. The top four just recently popped through within the last few weeks. I was starting to think he wouldn't have any.
He absolutely loves Nixon(when he's not pushing him away from his legos).
Happy Birthday, sweet boy!
