Just Because...

I have the best husband ever. He works so hard everyday and even some weekends managing his team at work and creating videos so I don't have to work and can stay home with Nixon. After I noticed he was having a VERY long week at work, I decided he needed a fun little "pick me up" or surprise to come home to. And just incase you are wondering, no, this was not for lovers day. In fact, we aren't big celebraters of the day. I don't do any crafts, decorate or anything which goes to show how pointless I think the holiday is. I believe you should do fun, romantic things for your significant other any day of the year, not just when it's "expected". We seem to have begun the tradition of going out for breakfast on v-day, which I LOVE because I LOVE breakfast! And that's it...easy peasy!

So Tyler came home to this note on the door yesterday that read:

"Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

I'm lucky to say,

I'm "tied" to you!

Follow the string,

that's your only clue,

somewhere at the end,

a surprise will be waiting for you!"

After doing some shopping, I took this string and strung it on EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE throughout my house. It basically looked like a huge spiderweb.

It began at the back door where he enters...

Went through to the living room...

into the kitchen...

down the hall...

Into the bathroom....

And finally ended up in our bedroom where I had some goodies waiting on the bed for him. If you look closely, there is a card that said, "will you go to the dance with me?". Our stake is having an adult dance for valentines day, and Tyler asked if we wanted to go. I told him, "you can't just ask me like THAT to a dance! You have to get creative like you did in high school when asking a girl to the dance!" So I thought It would be funny to throw that in the mix as well. He said yes in case you were wondering...but I don't think we were ever planning on REALLY going anyways.
