I seriously can't believe this kid is 3 months away from a year! AH! Let the birthday party planning begin! Nixon had his 9 month check up today, and besides having a little cold he is doing great!
His stats: Weight 17 lbs. 13 oz
Height 28 1/2 "
Seeing as how Nixon hasn't had a single shot in his life yet, I thought his little bandaid they put on his toe after pricking it to check his iron levels was so cute. All he wanted to do was rip it off.
I failed as a mom in the area of taking pictures with our nice camera this month. Nixon is so quick to do things that it is faster to just get a few snapshot on my phone. So let's take a look at Nixon through iPhone photos shall we?!
I feel like every month he learns so much more and I want to make sure I document it all for keepsake purposes.
Nixon is now a full time formula fed boy (with baby food of course. Mama dried up!)
He L-L-Loves the formula. It was such an easy transition for him, probably because he was mad that my body wasn't giving him as much as he wanted all the time. As soon as I put that bottle in front of his face he grabs onto and doesn't let go till it's gone. Lets just say I am okay with this since those teeth have started popping through!

He is my favorite snuggler after nap time. I don't think he will sit still for two seconds any other time of the day.

I feel like his personality has really sprouted this past month and he has the funniest facial expression! He is seriously a fun and funny kid to play with all day long. Such a ham! This was his new favorite face to make and I swear he would make it because he knew it would always make me laugh.
When in doubt...put him in the bath!
This has become his favorite spot in the house. The window. It's the perfect height for him and he loves to pound on the window and watch the cars drive by.
AH and he is climbing! That train is his favorite and he will push, walk and ride around with it everywhere. After screaming when I saw him up there for the first time, I made sure to grab a quick snapshot.
Nixon has also acquired the nickname of "distructoman". He is destroying EVERYTHING! Pulling cords out and sucking on them, breaking chargers, opening cupboards and pulling things out, unrolling toilet paper, pulling all the dvd's out, ripping fake grass out of pots... You name it, he's done it. We always get a good laugh out if though.

And purely for your laughing pleasure: my child in a headband. Ohhh the possibilities if I ever have a girl! Hey, I needed him as a model for one I made!
He will stand for a few seconds on his own.
Loves to walk with his walkers (or anything he can push and walk with)
He loves to eat and will eat snacks as long as you keep giving them to him.
He loves to play outside.
He loves his daddy and gets so excited when he sees him walk through the door.
Will say "mama", "dada" "baba"...all that good stuff just over and over.
He is very loud. Loves to scream when he is playing and excited.
He likes to look at books and turn the pages.
I'm pretty sure he has two more teeth that should be popping through on the bottom-that'll make 8.
He grinds his teeth and I don't know how to get him to stop!
He loves to watch me vacuum.

He loves to watch me vacuum.
He plays so well on his own and will just check to make sure I'm still there every now and then.
We are so happy that he is such a fun and entertaining baby! Love this kid
He is so cute!! I just love him!! i love all the things he gets into, how funny!! probably not for you, but the pictures sure made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteHaha, oh my goodness that facial expression cracks me up! So he discovered the toilet paper roll, did he? Doesn't Tyler have a picture just like that when he was that age? Oh poor thing, getting dolled up in girls' headbands. I'm fairly certain I have pictures of every single one of my younger brothers after I dressed them up in various dresses, panty hose, mermaid costumes, and tutus- he'll live it down eventually.
