I Pity the Fool

Yesterday was April Fools Day. I pathetically sat around waiting for Tyler to try and pull a prank on me. He didn't. In fact, he sent me a text saying he was going to have to stay late at work, and I was desperately hoping that was his attempt at pulling a trick on me and he was really about to walk through the door. He didn't. If you knew the crazy busy schedule he worked this last week you would understand my wishful thinking. Yesterday was still an exciting day however.
#1: This baby turned 11 months! What?! Just one short month away from a year! And you better believe his birthday party plans are coming along beautifully. In case you were wondering, yes, he is still known as distructoman. Exhibit A: Dumping the shredder in daddy's office.
He is such an active boy. ALL BOY for sure. He loves to be outside, play in the dirt, throw rocks and his new favorite thing to do is play catch with a ball.
He also has a new favorite way to ride in the shopping cart.
We are taking complete advantage of the weather before it starts to get too hot. We take many long bike rides and usually end up at a park. He could spend hours there which usually leaves him pooped and ready for a nap by the time we get back home.

#2 reason why we like Fool's Day: We just so happened to have our first kiss together on this day. Awww.
I'll skip the mushy details for fear of embarrassing my husband, but i very clearly remember our first kiss. It felt like it was taking FOREVER for this guy to bust a move on me. True Gentlemen. Every month we get together with my dad's whole side of the family for Family Home Evening. A tradition that we have had for a long time now. None of the cousins ever brought a significant other to FHE unless it was "serious". So Tyler had met my grandparents the previous week as we visited my grandma on her birthday real quick. As we were leaving MY GRANDPA invited Tyler to dinner. What? We had only been dating a few weeks. He met everyone, and had a great time. As I was dropping him off for the night, yes, I was dropping HIM off, badda-bing-badda-boom, fireworks were flying! I'll spare you the details leading up to the big event, but it was cute. I got in my car and screamed. I may have been a tad bit excited. 4 years later the fireworks are still flyin'!
