Ocho

Nixon is becoming closer and closer to being a year old WAY too fast. No exaggeration, I seriously have thousands of pictures of this boy and it's always so hard to narrow them down to just a few for this blog. I already know the conversations of jealousy I will have with my children to come as to why they don't have nearly as many pictures as Nixon.
Nixon has obviously been pulling himself up on many things, but this was the first time I walked in to see him standing up in his crib. He was angry at me for making him wait so long to pick him up. He will quickly realize how I love to document every moment in his life!
His first Christmas this year! What a great time of year, and it is only better with a child in the house. Nixon loved the Christmas tree, but surprisingly didn't mess with it much.

The first of many, many trips to the park, I'm sure. He loved swinging in the swing with his Grandma!
First trip to see snow! As I'm sure you can tell he wasn't a huge fan when we plopped him down in the snow! I'm thinking it was a combination of sleepiness, the puffy suit, snow blowing in the face, and the chilliness.

Nixon now has 5 teeth and we are slowly and painfully waiting for the last of the four front teeth to pop through. I have come to the conclusion that I would be perfectly fine if my children were all toothless...we have lots of dentists in the family that are all perfectly capable of teeth implants. Lets just say teething is no fun. Nixon is a mess. Which leads me to be a mess. We will get through it though.
He has perfected the skill of using his fingers to get little snacks in his mouth.
He is crawling faster and faster.
He prefers to stand and continues to love pulling himself up on anything and everything while walking across.
He loves other little kiddos.
He has become very attached to two specific blankets.
He thinks it's funny when I tell him "No". (This should be interesting)
He likes to play copy-cat. If I scream, he screams. If I blow bubbles, he blows bubbles.
Bath time is still his favorite.
Tyler is convinced "dada" is his first word.
I love when he babbles in his whispering voice.
He usually takes two 2-hour naps and sleeps 12 hours straight at night(with the exception of teething)
He is the happiest, cutest and best 8 month old baby ever!
