Craft Central

It had been about three weeks since I had done a craft, and I'm not sure why, but it felt like a lifetime! So this past week I went crafting crazy and am super pumped with my finding and the way they all turned out. Now don't be fooled, I don't come up with all these ideas on my own, crafting blogs are my #1 reading choice!

Craft #1: Cabinet door picture frames
Bought these bad boys for $1 each at Habitat Restore (aka: the saver's of Home depot)

What would I do without my paint and polycrylic?!
Painted them, sanded the edges, covered with polycrylic, added the clothespin and bow and done!

I'm not ashamed to admit that I went Saver's shopping. I found some good finds that only needed a few coats of some new paint!
Take project #2 for example:

very ugly gold color frame and key right?

Looks like new with a fresh paint of brown!

And project #3: Bread Box. Pretty hideous as is.

Painted it black, sanded the edges and coated it with polycrylic and it now sits beautifully on top of my fridge.

A new pillow to match Nixon's room

I've become obsessed with the color yellow lately and transformed my front room with lots of splashes of yellow. I love how easy it is to paint something...and if you don't like it? Just paint it back!

Welcome to my crafting area:

...yes, it's in a closet!

  3. I'm so impressed with how crafty you are!! I LOVE the kay hanging in the frame and the breadbox is precious! Especially when I thought about how you're filling it with all of your delicious homemade bread made from wheat you ground yourself. Basically, I'm in awe of your homemaking skills.
